Tree Trimming in Panora, Lake Panorama & Central Iowa
Good trimming keeps a tree healthy, keeps branches off your roof and power drop, and opens up the view. Grounded Tree Co. trims trees for homeowners across Panora, Lake Panorama, Guthrie Center, Perry, Adel and the Des Moines metro.
How we trim
We work from bucket trucks and specialized rear lot equipment, so we can do any job without damaging your tree by climbing it. That means no spikes in the trunk, and careful, controlled cuts where they're needed.
Common trimming jobs
Branches hanging over the roof, gutters, driveway or deck
Limbs rubbing the house or a garage
Raising the canopy so you can mow, walk or park underneath
Thinning to let light and wind through
Dead or broken limbs that could fall
Opening up a view of the lake or yard
Oak trimming: timing matters in Iowa
The Iowa DNR recommends pruning oaks between November 1 and mid-March, when oaks are dormant and the beetles that spread oak wilt are less active (Iowa DNR, Oct. 6, 2026). If you have oaks that need work, winter is the time to book it.
We leave it clean
Branches hauled or chipped, and the yard raked and blown off before we leave.
